Project Overview Sidewalks Streetlights & Streetscapes

As part of the Renew Opelika Road Master Plan, the City is widening Opelika Road between Gentry Drive and Saugahatchee Road. This project will include comprehensive streetscape improvements with the additions of medians, bike lanes, sidewalk and lighting. These improvements will promote efficient traffic conveyance and promote improved pedestrian connectivity. The project is part of the City of Auburn's CompPlan 2030, and Renew Opelika Road Plan.

The project was completed on Aug 12, 2022 with a total capital budget of $2,083,777.20.
