Are you a college student in Auburn? The City of Auburn's Economic Development team has opportunities throughout the year to help get you started on your career right here in Auburn.

Anchor Auburn

Anchor Auburn is a FREE enrichment opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students at Auburn University and Southern Union State Community College. During the 2027 spring semester, up to 35 students will enjoy five sessions where they’ll network, serve, connect and grow as they also learn what it’s like to live and work in Auburn, Alabama.

Want to Apply? Information to Consider:

• Participation is free for those selected.
• Past participants are not eligible to reapply.
• Students must have completed 30+ credit hours prior to Dec. 31, 2026.
• Students must arrange transportation to each session's starting point.
• Participants must attend at least four of the five sessions. Important:  Anchor Auburn will provide letters for professors/instructors to excuse absences from missed classes. Students are responsible for any work missed during the scheduled programming.

IMPORTANT DATES

Students must be willing to commit to attending at least four of the five sessions. **Dates and Times subject to change. **

• Session #1:  January 15th
• Session #2: February 16th and 17th (In Montgomery, AL with an overnight stay)
• Session #3: March 2nd
• Session #4: March 24th
• Session #5:  April 8th
