Current Drought Status

June 3, 2026 Update: The Water Works Board of the City of Auburn (AWWB) has lifted the Phase II Drought Warning (in effect since May 1, 2026) and Phase I Drought Watch (enacted Feb. 9, 2026). This action includes the removal of all drought-related water restrictions and usage surcharges that were in effect as part of the Phase II Drought Warning. No customers will be billed a drought surcharge for water usage overages that may have occurred during the May billing cycle.

During the month of May, Lake Ogletree, Auburn's primary water source, received 7" inches of rainfall. Due to this rainfall and the community's water conservation efforts, Lake Ogletree has been restored to nearly full capacity at an optimal water level.
