Rain Barrel Workshop

Community members are invited to attend a rain barrel workshop, promoting sustainable water use and stormwater management. The free workshop will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Hubert and Grace Harris Center Activity Room (425 Perry St.).

Attendees will receive a free rain barrel to collect and reuse rainwater at home along with tips on how to install, maintain and troubleshoot potential issues with their new reservoir. They will also learn about the benefits of rainwater harvesting, including:

• Conserving water and reducing reliance on City water sources.
• Reducing stormwater runoff, which can prevent soil erosion and limit the amount of pollutants that reach our local waterways.
