Auburn's workforce consists primarily of residents within a 30-minute drive time which includes the five county area: Lee, Chambers, Macon, Russell, and Tallapoosa. The labor force also consists of commuters within a 60-minute drive time. There are no existing unionized manufacturing companies in Auburn.
