In honor of the Juneteenth Holiday Auburn Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed on Thursday, June 19 except for the Frank Brown Recreation Cetner will be open 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Lake Wilmore Park Pool (open 6 a.m.-6 p.m.), the Yarbrough Tennis Center (open 8 a.m.-2 p.m.) and the Samford Pool (open for Lap Swim from 5:30-7 a.m. and 5-8 p.m.; Rec Swim from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)

About

The mission of the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is twofold: to provide quality leisure services and facilities to the citizens of Auburn and to appropriately manage Auburn's cemeteries. We will achieve this by:

  • Establishing and organizing quality programs that address the diverse leisure interests of Auburn's citizens
  • Managing safe, well-maintained parks, facilities, and cemeteries
  • Exceeding the needs of citizens, advisory groups, local officials, and the media through a commitment to effective and efficient delivery of services and a positive approach to customer service
