Park open sunrise to sunset

Located at 1420 Shelton Mill Road, Ann Pearson Park is a scenic, 46.9-acre natural retreat made possible through a generous gift from Dr. Ann Pearson, a devoted philanthropist with a lifelong commitment to Auburn. The park offers something for everyone, from families and nature lovers to fitness enthusiasts.

Dogs must be on leash or be under effective and immediate voice control at all times.

Playground with slides, climbing structures, and bridges set on a grassy area, surrounded by trees.

The new playground at Ann Pearson Park is thoughtfully designed to support active and imaginative play for children ages 2–5 and 5–12. Featuring a variety of age-appropriate slides, the playground encourages kids to build balance, body control, and spatial awareness while experiencing the thrill of motion. Climbing components at differing levels offer opportunities for children to develop strength, coordination, and problem-solving skills, whether they're scaling a gentle toddler-friendly structure or navigating a more challenging route to the top of the tower. The tower structures invite exploration and build confidence as children ascend, observe, and choose their own paths through the space. A whimsical dragonfly climber adds a playful, eye-catching element that sparks creativity and open-ended play, while nature-themed components throughout the playground create a soothing, outdoor-inspired atmosphere. The entire area is finished with turf safety surfacing, ensuring a soft, accessible foundation that supports safe landings. The playground at Ann Pearson Park is more than just a place to play—it's a space where children grow, explore, and connect through meaningful movement and imaginative adventure.

Additional park amenities include a covered pavilion and restrooms, with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) device installed on the bathroom building for added safety. The park features 2.5 miles of shaded trails ideal for walking, running, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Visitors can explore open play meadows, a peaceful fern valley, and a blooming wildflower meadow throughout the seasons. A natural creek runs through the park, offering tranquil views and a serene atmosphere—though it remains officially unnamed.

Whether you're seeking outdoor recreation, a relaxing stroll, or a place to connect with nature, Ann Pearson Park offers a serene and welcoming environment for all.
