Fright Night Movie Event Returns to a New Location
The City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the return of its annual Fright Night Movie Event, a pre-Halloween celebration for the community. The free event will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Lake Wilmore Park Athletic Fields, located at 2101 Grove Hill Road.
Movie lovers can bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a double feature under the stars on the athletic fields. The evening kicks off at 6:45 p.m. CST with the family-friendly film The Book of Life (PG). At 8:30 p.m. CST, the second feature, the thriller Joy Ride (R), will be shown.
This is a free event open to the public and will include complimentary food and giveaways. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, please note that pets are not permitted.
The Fright Night Movie Event is a rain-or-shine event. In case of inclement weather, the festivities will be moved indoors to the Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center gymnasium.
