The Kreher Preserve & Nature Center (KPNC) is a 120-acre nature preserve and environmental education center located at 2222 North College Street in Auburn. Operated by Auburn University's College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, the KPNC serves as a community resource where visitors of all ages can explore, learn, unwind, and connect with the natural world.

Gifted to Auburn University by Louise Kreher Turner and Frank Allen Turner, the preserve protects forests, streams, wetlands, and wildlife habitats while providing opportunities for environmental education, outdoor recreation, and community engagement. Through its trails, gardens, nature play areas, and educational facilities, the KPNC inspires a deeper appreciation for nature and encourages stewardship of the environment.

The KPNC offers a diverse year-round schedule of programs for children, adults, families, schools, and community groups. Popular offerings include field trips, camps, nature walks, family events, wildlife programs, workshops, homeschool programs, and nature-based early childhood education. The center is also home to Woodland Wonders Nature Preschool, Alabama's first nature-based First Class Pre-K program.

The KPNC continues to grow as a destination for conservation, education, health and wellness, and outdoor experiences for residents and visitors throughout the Auburn-Opelika region.

Registration for KPNC programs and events is coordinated directly through KPNC staff. For current program information, event registration, and facility rental opportunities, please visit their website or call (334) 707-6512.
